Chilam Joshi celebration is one of the most vibrant Kalash festivals. Chilam Joshi is also famous as the Spring Festival of Kalash. Chilam Joshi celebrates for four days in the Kalash Valleys of Rumbur, Bamburet and Birir. A large number of local and international tourists came to attend this festival every year.
Chilam Joshi spring festival starts with “ Mikl Day” The Kalash people store milk from their households to ten days before the festival and offers it to people on the day of the festival. They pray for blessing of God and well-off years for agriculture, health and safety of their peoples. The motto of the Chilam Joshi Kalash festival is that men and women can find themselves a life partner to get married. Men and women wear traditional clothes, especially Lovely colors and make hairstyle as the pattern of flowers on it. They wear heavy necklaces and heavy headgears on the head, While men wear traditional shalwar Kameez ( Pakistan Men clothes )with a waistcoat that looks handsome.
They dance and sing together in a group of circles on drum beats. This festival brings smiles to the people of Kalash Valley. They choose their life partners and reveal their names on the last day of the festival. The festival celebrates every year from 13 May to 16 May for four days, beginning in the early morning at 08:00 am.
Islamabad – Islamabad
Arrival at Islamabad, meet and greet with our company representative transfer to the hotel, Half Day Sightseeing in Islamabad, Evening back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in the hotel we drive to Swat, en route we will visit Takht Bhai Buddhist Monastery, Further drive to Swat, Upon arrival transfer to the hotel, afternoon Visit Swat Museum and Budhkara Buddhist site, walk to colorful Bazaar of Saidu Sharif, evening back to hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in hotel, we will drive to Bamburet (Kalash). It will take amost 6-7 hours from Saidu sharif to Bamburet Valley in Kalash. In kalash there are 3 small valleys, Bamburet , Birir, and Rambur. In the evening we will visit to see the Chilam Joshi Festival celebrations in the village.
Full day festival celebrations in Rumbor and bamburet with the Kalashi people, in the evening back to hotel.
After breakfast visit Ramburet valley in Kalash, Visit some local houses, meet the local people and see the local Culture of Kalashya People. We will spend a full day in Rambur and Bamburet valley with local people.
Visit in the evening to see the celebration of Chilam Joshi Festival. In the night back to hotel for overnight.
After breakfast in the hotel we will drive to Chitral, It will take one hour, Upon arrival transfer to the hotel, Visit Chitral Mosque, and Chitral bazaar, Evening back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in the hotel we will drive via Shandur Pass(3.738m) to Phander /Gupis Valley, En route we will stop at Phander Lake, we will do our Lunch at Phander Lake and proceed to Gupis via Khalti lake, short stop at Khalti lake for a cup of Tea, further drive to Gupis, It will take 5-6 hours from Mastuj to Gupis, Upon arrival transfer to the hotel, Afternoon just walk in the town , evening back to hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in hotel, we drive to Gilgit, It will take 3 hours from Gupis, en route we will visit Kargah Buddha , which is in standing position on a rock at Kargah valley near Gilgit. Proceed to Gilgit and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit local bazaar and walk through the colorful bazaar in Gilgit. Dinner with overnight in hotel.
After breakfast drive to Karimabad, It will take 2 hours from Gilgit to Karimabad, We will stop at Rakaposhi view point for lunch and after lunch proceeds to Karimabad, Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit local bazaar in karimabad, In the evening back to hotel for dinner and overnight.
In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to the beautiful Hopar which is located in the Nagar Valley, It will take almost one and half hours to Hopar, Specially in Blossom and Autumn seasons are so attractive in this part of the region, In the autumn You can see many red, yellow and green leaves all around. We will visit the Hopar Glacier which is at walking distance. Drive back to Ganish Village, one of the oldest settlements in the Hunza and Nagar region.
After Breakfast drive to Gulmit, en route we will stop at Attabad Lake ( also know as Gojal Lake) .
After breakfast drive to Gilgit via Karakoram highway, It will take almost 3-4 hours from Passu to Gilgit, On the way to Gilgit we will do several photo stop, A short stop at Rakaposhi view point for Tea., further drive to Gilgit. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel.
After breakfast we drive to Besham via Karakoram highway, It will take 6-7 hours from Gilgit to Besham. During our journey to Besham we will make several photo stop . Upon arrival transfer to the hotel .
Drive to Islamabad via Hazara motorway, It will take 3-4 hours to Islamabad from Besham. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel, afternoon visit Faisal mosque and Pakistan monument, Dinner in a local restaurant, evening back to the hotel for overnight.
Early in the morning Transfer to Islamabad International airport, and Fly to the homeland.
