The sites in between are worth the visit--glaciers, forts, markets and the highest pologround in shandur while travelling to Chitral via Gilgit. One can imagine lifestyle of people and the hospitality living in various parts of the Northern Areas and Chitral. Visiting Kalash tribe in Chitral is vital part of the journey. Looking into historic sites and cluster of wooden made homes gives unexpected panorama for the first timers. Their burrial sites and their culture is diamatrically different from rest of the area.
