As you traverse this route, you’ll traverse the Rakaposhi Base Camp, adding an extra layer of excitement to your journey. This trail, designed to test your endurance, unveils the raw beauty of the rugged terrain and the icy glaciers that surround the basecamp.
Standing as a sentinel against the azure sky, Diran Peak greets trekkers at the basecamp with an awe-inspiring presence. Islamabad – Hunza
Upon arrival in Islamabad, you will be warmly greeted by our company representative. After a meet and greet session, we will assist you in transferring to the domestic departure terminal. If the weather permits, you’ll take a scenic flight to Gilgit. However, in case of flight cancellation due to unfavorable weather conditions, an exciting road trip awaits you. The drive from Islamabad to Naran, passing through the scenic Kaghan Valley, offers breathtaking views and takes approximately 06-07 hours. After arriving in Gilgit/Naran, you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon at Leisure.
After a hearty breakfast, we embark on a two-hour drive to Minapin. However, in the case of travelling from Naran, enjoy the breathtaking views of Lulusar Lake and Babusar Pass during a 9-10 hr journey. Along the way, we’ll make stops at viewpoints that offer stunning vistas of the Nanga Parbat, Junction Point of three mountain Ranges, ancient Silk Route and the majestic Rakaposhi Peak (7788m). Afterward, we proceed to Minapin. The afternoon grants you the freedom to explore the village at your own pace or simply unwind at the campsite, where dinner and overnight accommodations await.
Begin your day early with a wholesome breakfast as we set off on a trek towards Tagha Phari, also known as Rakaposhi Base Camp. This approximately 4-5 hour trek covers a distance of 13 kilometers from Minapin. A lunch stop is planned at Hapakun, or you can opt for a lunch break at Tagha Phari itself. All meals will be provided at the campsite, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the trekking experience.
Following breakfast at our campsite, our trekking journey leads us to Diran Base Camp at Kacheli. Descending from the campsite, we venture onto Diran Glacier and reach the picturesque Diran Base Camp. A 3-4 hour trek awaits, with opportunities to explore the campsite after relishing a satisfying lunch. Dinner and overnight accommodations are provided at the campsite.
Kickstart your day with a nourishing breakfast, followed by an invigorating hike to Kacheli Lake. Spend time exploring the stunning surroundings of the lake before returning to Diran Base Camp. All meals are included, allowing you to indulge in the tranquility of the campsite.
After a hearty campsite breakfast, we begin our descent towards Hapakun. The approximately 3-4 hour trek leads us to Hapakun, where you’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing or wandering around the campsite, with all meals provided.
As the sun rises, enjoy a delicious campsite breakfast before embarking on a trek back to Minapin. This shorter stage of the journey takes about 2-3 hours to complete. After lunch, we proceed to Karimabad, a one-hour drive away. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon invites you to explore the local bazaar, followed by a relaxing evening with dinner and overnight accommodations.
After a fulfilling breakfast, we kick off our day with a visit to the historic Baltit Fort, followed by a drive to Altit Fort, showcasing a history of over 900 years. Stroll through Altit village and savor a local restaurant lunch. Return to the hotel after the tour, and later, drive to Eagle Nest Duiker for a mesmerizing sunset. Dinner will be served at Duiker, followed by an overnight stay in Karimabad.
Early in the morning, post-breakfast, we set out on an unforgettable journey to Khunjerab Pass, the border between Pakistan and China. Along the way, we’ll pause at the captivating Attabad Lake, also known as Gojal Lake. Return to Sost for lunch before proceeding to Gulmit, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll through Gulmit Village and witness local carpet-making. Your exploration continues with visits to the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and the scenic Borit Lake. A coffee break at Glacier Breeze Restaurant in Passu is a must before returning to Gulmit. Dinner and overnight accommodations await you.
Savor a nourishing breakfast before driving to Hoper Valley. With porters and kitchen staff ready, embark on a rewarding trek to Barpu Giram. This 4-5 hour trek includes lunch, providing ample time to relish the natural beauty along the way. Dinner and overnight accommodations are provided at the campsite.
Greet the day with breakfast and start your trek towards Baricho Kor. This 4-5 hour journey unveils captivating views and culminates at a stunning campsite. All meals are included, ensuring you’re fueled for this exhilarating adventure.
Following breakfast, the trail takes us to Chidin Harai. A 4-5 hour trek promises breathtaking vistas of Mair Glacier, Mair Peak, Ultar Peak (7388m), and more. At an elevation of 4400m, Chidin Harai offers the perfect setting for a remarkable sunset or sunrise. Enjoy all meals at the campsite.
After breakfast, embark on a trek to Rush Lake, a shorter 2-3 hour journey. Upon reaching the campsite, savor a warm lunch and take the opportunity to explore the stunning surroundings of Rush Lake. Dinner and overnight accommodations at the campsite ensure a peaceful retreat.
Today is a well-deserved rest day. Relax and bask in the magnificent views or opt to explore Rush Peak (5100m). If the weather permits, you might catch sight of K2 and other majestic peaks. All meals and overnight accommodations are provided at the campsite.
After breakfast, begin your descent to Phai Phai. The 4-5 hour trek offers captivating vistas throughout the journey. All meals and overnight accommodations are provided at the campsite.
Indulge in a campsite breakfast before trekking down to Hamdar via Mair Glacier. This 4-5 hour journey treats you to captivating views of Mair Glacier and Mair Peak. All meals and overnight accommodations are provided at the campsite.
Early in the morning, enjoy breakfast at the campsite before trekking to Hoper. It’s a 5-6 hour journey to Hoper, where you bid farewell to your porters. From Hoper, drive to Karimabad and check into your hotel. All meals and overnight accommodations are provided.
Following breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Karimabad to Gilgit via the Karakoram Highway. The journey takes approximately 2 hours. Explore the local bazaar and immerse yourself in the vibrant surroundings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.
After breakfast, set out on a picturesque drive to Naran Valley via the Babusar Pass. Alternatively, opt for a route via the Karakoram Highway to Besham. Both options offer stunning landscapes and opportunities for lunch stops and photo sessions. Arrive at your destination and settle into your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.
Embark on a journey from Naran to Besham, followed by a drive to Islamabad. Enjoy the scenic beauty along the way. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours. Upon reaching Islamabad, prepare for your flight back home.
Bid farewell to the captivating landscapes of Northern Pakistan as you’re transferred to Islamabad International Airport for your journey back home.
